Mock Model for Children Infusion

Project Overview

A realistic self-infusion training model that lets children with hemophilia practice intravenous self-infusion safely before administering treatment on their own.

Hemophilia Ontario is seeking a mock infusion device to help children with hemophilia practice intravenous self-infusion. While newer therapies are administered subcutaneously, breakthrough bleeds still require intravenous treatment. As a result, many children lack the confidence to perform infusions independently at home, leading to increased emergency room visits. This project focuses on developing a realistic self-infusion training model that allows children with hemophilia to practice safely before administering treatment to themselves.
